To mitigate against post harvest losses and guarantee farmers maximum returns for their toil, we are constructing 400 modern and fresh produce markets across the Country. The markets will have expanded trading spaces to accommodate more small-scale entrepreneurs, cold storage facilities, spacious stores, rooms for lactating mothers, ICT hubs to facilitate e-commerce and other essential amenities to provide a dignified environment for business transactions.
18,000 additional households in Makueni County are being connected to electricity at a cost of 2 billion shillings. 305 million shillings of that allocation is being used to connect households in Kaiti Constituency to the national grid.
