The President may assign additional functions to the Deputy President in accordance with the Constitution. The current Government structure assigns the Office responsibilities including chairing Cabinet Committees, overseeing implementation of Cabinet decisions, coordinating relations between the National and County Governments, chairing the Intergovernmental Budget and Economic Council (IBEC), overseeing public-sector reforms and coordinating development-partner-funded programmes and projects.
