The Deputy President serves as the principal assistant to the President and supports the President in the execution of Government functions. The Deputy President also undertakes functions assigned under the Constitution and other functions delegated by the President. The current mandate of the Office includes, inter alia, Chairing Cabinet Committees & coordination, intergovernmental relations, oversight of Cabinet decisions, public-sector reforms and coordination of development-partner programmes.
