Abdul Mwasserah joined the public service in 1982 and rose through the ranks over the years to his current position as the Principal Administrative Secretary Coordination Operations and Protocol.
Mr Mwasserah served as a Provincial Commissioner in North Eastern and Western Provinces respectively for a period of seven years.
During his seven years’ stint as a Provincial Commissioner, he is reputed to have brokered many peace initiatives between feuding communities and restored harmony in some volatile areas.
He chaired the Technical Committee that was tasked to thaw the boundary dispute between Kenya and Uganda over the ownership of Migingo and Ugingo islands in Lake Victoria.
Mr Mwasserah holds a PHD degree in peace and conflict studies.
